BioI am a teacher in an undisclosed southern, but not really southern, state. I teach middle school reading, by choice. I am a young teacher, but I have one middle school year under my belt. I taught college for a few years before deciding I needed to go in the deep trenches. I would like to think that maybe one day, David Sedaris will be surfing the net and find this blog and maybe laugh, or chuckle. That would be the highest compliment for me as a writer. However, if there are any teachers out there who read this and have a laugh or two, or parents, or maybe even students, I will deem it a success. I think anyone who is a teacher will appreciate this blog, but especially those of us who deal with adolescence, or the age of un-innocence. They, being experts outside of the classroom, say that reflection makes for better teaching. Personally, I think it makes for some pretty funny reading!
